Rob Dale spent twelve years as a meteorologist on television before moving into the disaster world. He ran the emergency management program at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital for two years, and has four years experience as a regional planner, currently with Ingham County Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor's in Emergency Management, and a Masters in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University. He chaired a team of meteorologists and emergency managers who developed national best practices for tornado siren usage, and continues to work on better methods for communicating severe weather information to the public. Rob is married with five daughters and three granddaughters, many of whom have been on a tornado chase with him!
