Dean M. Hartenburg is a 20 year caregiver at Sparrow Clinton Hospital in St. Johns. He has served as Safety Emergency Manager since 2009 and is currently working toward his Professional Emergency Management (PEM) certification. He currently serves as Vice President of the District 1 Regional Medical Response Coalition (D1RMRC) and is actively involved in many disaster related committees within the county and state. He is a Member of the Michigan Emergency Manager Association (MEMA), Member of Michigan Healthcare Association (MIHCA).

He is a life time Clinton County resident and long-time Ambassador of the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce. Serves on the Clinton County Emergency Operations Center. Community involvement includes Choir, Cantor, Lector and member of the Evangelization Committee at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is also a 4th Degree member of the Color Guard, Past District Deputy, Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council #3281 in St. Johns and a past member of the St. Johns Jaycees.

Dean has a true compassion for community and is no less enthusiastic about Emergency Preparedness and working with all community partners to move forward in disaster planning. He is a true Ambassador in every sense of the word for the Do1thing initiatives and what it stands for.
