David is a former infantry Marine and a retired Air National Guardsman. Post-9/11, his last assignment was oversight of all military surveillance radars and associated communications systems west of the Mississippi River and their recovery from any catastrophic failure, contributing to Homeland Defense.

He earned his Master of Infrastructure Planning and Management degree from the University of Washington; was employed by Seattle City Light as an Information Technology Disaster Recovery Professional; and also volunteered with the Seattle Office of Emergency Management, the King County Office of Emergency Management, the Red Cross, and the Medical Reserve Corps.

Currently, David is employed as the Business Continuity Lead at Consumers Energy.
