Brian currently serves as the Disaster Program Manager for the Mid-Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross. In this role he oversees the disaster team’s participation in the preparedness, response, and recovery phases of the disaster cycle over 11 counties throughout Michigan. Previous to this role he was the Regional Planning & Recovery Manager for the San Diego Region of the American Red Cross. Throughout his four years as an employee of the American Red Cross he has deployed to 20 Disaster Relief Operations in various roles, including the Hawaii Volcanoes of 2018, and Hurricane Michael in 2018. His goal for 2020 is to continue working towards his CEM and PEM professional certifications in Emergency Management.
In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors on his bike with his wife Virginia and his son Conrad. He also enjoys travelling anytime he is free, and spending time at the lakes in Michigan in the summer.
