Bob Perialas is Lansing Board of Water & Light’s Manager of Community Relations. He was appointed to this position as a result of recommendations from the Community Review Team (CRT) following the December 2013 Ice Storm and subsequent power outage. The goal and mission of this appointment was to identify a Key Customer Advocate/Ombudsman who would advocate on behalf of the BWL Customers as well as to ensure all BWL customer service practices are consistent and meeting the needs of all of the BWL Customers. In this role, Bob is very busy meeting with Community Leaders, Neighborhood Associations, and customers through outreach programs and community events. Bob started his career at the Lansing Board of Water and Light in the summer of 2002. He started in Electric Operations at the Erickson Power Plant, progressed into Fuel Procurement and distribution, and since 2007 has been involved with Customer Service, Community Services, and Government Relations. Prior to working at the Board of Water & Light, Bob worked in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sales, following his 7 Years of Active Duty in the United States Air Force.
